Facility Foreman
Pay $26/ HR
Hours 3PM- 11:30PM
Monday-Friday
The Facility Foreman performs hands-on operations and supervises plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm management, and wastewater treatment. This role includes supervising plant employees and ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and environmental standards. The position may require operating forklifts and other equipment as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities
- Perform plant operations, including drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck offloading/loading, and wastewater treatment.
- Supervise multiple employees and a single plant operation.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment when necessary.
- Ensure all paperwork for waste tracking movements is completed and submitted promptly.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure supervised staff meets compliance standards.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus specialized training, or 1 year of college in General Studies.
- 57 years of relevant plant operations experience.
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Certificates & Licenses:
- Valid forklift certification preferred (if applicable).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficient in one or more plant operations (drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck offloading/loading, wastewater treatment).
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organization, initiative, and teamwork skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recommends hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisals, promotions, compensation adjustments, corrective action, and termination.
- Oversees plant staff and ensures operational efficiency.
- Medium work: lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Standing 46 hours per shift, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and operating equipment.
- Capable of reaching, squatting, kneeling, and performing basic exercises (pushups, squats, sit-ups) to ensure physical readiness.
- 20/20 corrected or uncorrected vision with depth perception and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to hear machinery, alarms, and verbal communication clearly.
