Jacobs is seeking a seasoned and collaborative Senior Project/Construction Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in construction management, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination within the municipal water sector.

As a key leader in our Water/Wastewater Division, you will oversee the execution of complex construction projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budgetary goals. You'll serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, designers, inspectors, and internal teams to drive successful project delivery.

The Project & Site Construction Manager must be self-motivated, promote team-oriented work practices and a safety culture, be an inclusive leader, have strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills, and bring a strong organizational approach to delivery. Should also be adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including Construction Coordinators, Field Inspectors, Office Engineers, and Technicians.
  • Provide strategic oversight and technical guidance across all phases of construction management: contract administration, claims resolution, cost/time control, safety, quality assurance, and project closeout.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contract terms, technical standards, and client expectations.
  • Facilitate construction completion inspections and coordinate asset handover to post-construction teams.
  • Support client engagement at executive and management levels, representing Jacobs with professionalism and integrity.
  • Monitor and report on project metrics, risks, and performance indicators to internal leadership and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to Jacobs' safety, quality, and ethical standards, while promoting continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  • Oversee change order negotiations and ensure alignment with contractual obligations and client needs.
  • Prepare and deliver project presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction/project management, with a focus on water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale municipal or utility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulatory compliance, and project controls.
  • Excellent team leader and team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Construction Manager Certification (CCM) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in water and wastewater infrastructure capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledgeable in basic water treatment processes.
  • Previous experience with Major Municipalities including 100 MGD+ Treatment Plants & $100M Construction Projects.
  • Previous experience with federally funded projects.

145,000.00

185,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
