Electronics Design Engineer Ruggedized Ordnance Applications

Design and develop ruggedized analog and digital electronics for ordnance applications, including testing, analysis, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience, or Masters degree with 2+ years of experience, or 8+ years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience in lieu of a degree 4+ years of experience designing with analog building blocks (differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, data converters) 3+ years of experience designing with digital building blocks (logic gates, flip flops, timers, filters) 2+ years of experience with power supply and conditioning design (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC, linear and switching supplies) 2+ years of experience with communication buses (UART, SPI, I2C) 2+ years of experience with sensors (temperature, MEMs accelerometers, differential pressure sensors, gyros) 2+ years of experience applying design best practices (EMI suppression, ESD protection, short-circuit protection) 4+ years of experience in module design (component selection, circuit analysis, circuit design, layout) 4+ years of troubleshooting with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.) 3+ years of experience with modeling and simulation tools (LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink) 3+ years of experience with schematic capture/board layout tools (Altium, PADS, etc.) 3+ years leading large-scale technical projects from start to completion 3+ years preparing and participating in internal/external design reviews 3+ years creating technical documentation (test plans, test reports, drawings, etc.) 2+ years of experience with root cause analysis Preferred Skills: BSEE/CompE with 7+ years of experience 2+ years designing Electronic Safety and Arming Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices per MIL-STD-1316 and MIL-STD-1901A 2+ years presenting ESAD/ESAF/ISD designs to Safety Review Boards (AFSRB, FISTRP, NNMSB) 2+ years interfacing/testing with energetic materials (EFDIs, LEEFIs, lead charges, boosters) 2+ years designing for extreme environments (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity) Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance Responsibilities: Design analog and digital ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications Conduct circuit tolerance analyses using hand calculations and SPICE tools Develop, refine, and ensure compliance with technical requirements Generate and execute test plans across all phases of development (Brassboard, Design Verification, Qualification, Firing Properties) Perform testing and analyze results throughout the product lifecycle Support structured failure investigations (8D, Fishbone, Cause & Effect) Prepare and present design review material for all phases of development Generate Engineering Orders (EOs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Manage and multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously Pay Details: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
