IPS – RMB Products is seeking a Semi-Con Rotational Molding Operator (2nd shift) who will work on a team assisting in the operation of rotational molding machines and production of plastic parts in a manufacturing setting, obtaining a quality product that exceeds the customer’s expectations. The employee will ensure and verify each product meets quality standards and customer specifications.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Must read, understand, and follow work orders
  • Will inspect, trim, and move all products produced in Rotational molding to the next operation.
  • Must be capable of producing quality parts by following set up sheets per product.
  • Set up machines to start production cycles and prepare molds by cleaning them.
  • Obtain correct powder and molds per work order and following work order instructions per product.
  • Perform quality acceptance checks
  • Program time, temperature, and rotation on machine to achieve proper molding per set up sheets
  • Properly mount molds and lined products on proper machine arm
  • Receive, inspect, and return molds after work order is completed and before starting.
  • Maintain machine readiness with completion of daily and weekly preventative maintenance forms
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Remove part from mold at the proper time. trim and de-flash product as instructed
  • Visually inspect each part for quality
  • Reject non-conforming parts as needed and place them in MRB area.
  • Inspect finished parts for voids or bubbles, and contamination
  • Creates a quality product that meets industry standards and customer expectation to be shipped
  • Maintains time and productions records
  • Notifies supervisor or lead when problems arise in a timely manner.
  • Makes optimum use of time and keeps work area clean and neat
  • Abides by all the policies, procedures, guidelines of RMB including conformance to good common sense safety practices and regulations

Job Specifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required

Years’ Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment

Skills:

  • Will have a willingness to learn and improve through on-the-job training.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions given out orally and in writing by the Production Supervisor or customer expectations and requirements
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMB
  • Requires use of forklifts, cranes, Rotational molding machines and other heavy machinery, and pneumatic and impact tools
  • Exhibits objectivity and openness to other’s views and contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Requires advance writing, math, and mechanical skills
  • Requires a flexible and cooperative attitude, which includes when asked to perform other duties or tasks that are not listed within this job description but within the scope of this position
  • Requires communication skills both written and orally in the English language
  • Requires excellent safety practices, which includes keeping a clean work area
  • Requires personal responsibility and accountability meeting workmanship standards with little supervision to complete assignments
