Job Summary: An experienced Painter is needed to perform comprehensive painting, finishing, and general surface maintenance duties. This role encompasses preparing and painting new surfaces, as well as extensive repair and refinishing work on walls, furniture, structural elements, and building exteriors. Key responsibilities include minor drywall repair, surface preparation, and the application of paint, stains, and protective coatings to doors, windows, ceilings, and walls. This position is 2nd shift and the hours are 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Examples of work performed might include but not be limited to:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching and cleaning.
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Perform all work incidental to interior and exterior painting projects.
- Perform minor repairs to drywall, plaster, and wood surfaces as required.
- Protect all nearby furnishings and surfaces by properly using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective coverings.
- Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and windows, ensuring a high-quality, uniform finish.
- Refinish or repaint cabinetry, desks, tables, and chairs..
- Apply appropriate coatings to exterior siding, decks, and other outdoor structures.

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience of on the job training as a journeyman painter
- Can perform skilled work in all types of surface preparation and paint application.
- Strong knowledge of paint types, mixing, and application techniques.
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel materials. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus .
