This position will be located in Houston, TX. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and assess new business opportunities (acquisition, existing asset enhancement, lease, etc.) in the energy space
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and partnerships
- Build financial models and business cases to support investment decisions
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure deal viability and compliance
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including refiners, marketers, traders, logistics providers, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to evaluate technical feasibility and support project development
- Assist in permitting, regulatory filings, and stakeholder engagement for new infrastructure projects
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development activities, market intelligence, and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, operations, legal, and finance to align business development efforts with corporate goals
- Develop key performance metrics to own and drive accountability for decisions
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products and policies
- Mentor, develop and assist in the training of fellow team members

- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Required:
- Bachelors degree in a business -related field
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial strategy, or related roles within energy, including a strong background in customer service with a proven record of driving profitability.
- Strong knowledge and experience of one or more of the following industries: Asset operations, pipeline terminal connectivity, capability and project evaluation.
- Advanced knowledge of the related industry with application, technical, managerial experience a plus
- Ability to make key project and integration plan decisions
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Good listener and strong written and verbal communicator
- Ability to work independently in meeting and exceeding goals from home office
- Entrepreneurial, goal driven, action oriented, self-motivated
- Able to deal with a variety of people and situations in a positive and open minded manner
