About this Position

The seasonal Golf Course Landscape Laborer will perform manual groundskeeper tasks for KickingBird Golf, including mowing, weed-eating, hand-watering the greens, and more. This greenskeeper role is a seasonal landscaper position that lasts throughout the spring and summer.

This maintenance helper role works from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This role includes weekend work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Or be a current high school student

Some experience in golf course maintenance or a similar field

Some experience operating/maintaining machinery and equipment

Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier

Responsibilities

Perform various grounds maintenance tasks using vehicles, tools, and equipment

Perform repairs or maintenance tasks on golf course grounds and buildings

Maintain tools and equipment

Mow grass, water greens, and work with plant life

Operate and maintain electrical and hand tools

Learn the operation of a clutch type (gear shift) transmission

Build, paint, and repair golf course equipment, fences, and buildings

Remove weeds, trash, snow, and other debris from the golf course, sidewalks, etc.

Comply with safety rules and regulations

Be available for duty at KickingBird Golf during hours as established by the Golf Course Superintendent

Necessary Skills

Ability and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heat

Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position

Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug test
