As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in the creation of concrete casts, ensuring that each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth. You must be flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn as you contribute to the production process. Responsibilities Build steel wire cages for concrete frames. Mix concrete in preparation stations. Pour concrete into wet or dry cast equipment. Read blueprints to plan where to punch holes in concrete boxes. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Operate machinery with overhead cranes and load machines. Participate in production meetings and prepare for daily pours. Assist in cutting and staging rebar for daily production. Essential Skills Experience in general labor, concrete, construction, roofing, or landscaping. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 10 hours a day. Problem-solving skills and adherence to strict safety procedures. Willingness to work in an indoor/outdoor environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with concrete is preferred but not required. Machine operation experience is beneficial. Work Environment This role operates in a large manufacturing facility with both dry and wet cast buildings, where you will work indoors and outdoors. The environment is not climate-controlled, so it can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Expect a dirty, dusty environment similar to a construction site. Safety is prioritized, and PPE, including Metatarsal boots, hard hat, and hearing and eye protection, is provided. The dress code requires jeans and either a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt, with no loose articles of clothing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the Southwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
