- Develop work packages for Make Ready and Street Light projects using customer and industry-accepted design and analysis tools.
- Review and seal work packages for distribution designs created by Junior Engineers.
- Support structural analysis, guying calculations, and cable pulling calculations.
- Coordinate protective devices and calculate electric demand and fault currents.
- Manage coordination of conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements.
- Develop design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments.
- Handle work permit development, easements, and ROW applications.
- Design mainline vault medium voltage switchgear, network system design, and distribution system protection and coordination.
- Ensure program success in scope, schedule, and budget under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.
- 5+ years of electric distribution design experience.
- Willingness to perform QA/QC design checks.
- Knowledge of NESC Standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with distribution design software.
- Previous experience working with energy companies directly or supporting them through third-party engineering firms.
