- Manage design, permitting, and construction services efficiently and responsibly.
- Sign and seal drawings with a PE stamp when authorized.
- Maintain positive client relationships regularly.
- Adopt and improve design standards to enhance practices.
- Prioritize client needs and manage communication effectively.
- Estimate additional work fees and alert the team leader of scope issues.
- Complete site designs and perform hydrology calculations.
- Design stormwater management, grading, and drainage plans.
- Prepare detailed utility plans for water and sewer infrastructure.
- Maintain knowledge of Sustainable Site requirements for LEED Certification.
- Enforce project management methods.
- Design hydraulic and hydrologic stormwater management systems.
- Prepare bond and cost estimates.
- Review shop drawings and provide timely responses to questions.
- Ensure quality control procedures are maintained.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and government agencies.
- Attend progress meetings for projects.
- At least 10 years of experience in designing land development projects in Maryland, with preferred experience in PG and MOCO.
- Proficiency in project management and land development.
- Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong skills in site development, grading, and drainage.
- Expertise in civil design and engineering.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and site plan design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience with public projects, including K-12 and higher education.
- Ability to adapt to a start-up environment and wear multiple hats.
- Experience with sustainable site requirements for LEED Certification.
This is a Fully Remote position based out of Bowie, Maryland.
