Chief Estimator

Develop precise and comprehensive estimates for environmental and fuel facility projects. Generate accurate take-offs for all construction phases, detailing material costs and labor breakdowns. Source prices from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services. Conduct site visits and participate in bid walks and pre-bid conferences to assess site constraints and logistics. Collaborate with the Junior Estimator to complete bid packages thoroughly. Oversee proposal writing to ensure estimates are consistent, well-written, and complete. Prepare written correspondence and technical reports as needed. Participate in weekly estimating meetings and contribute actively. Lead estimating transfer meetings for awarded projects with the construction team. Communicate with clients, customers, and government representatives regarding project details.

Responsibilities

• Estimation and Estimating experience of 3-5 years.
• Experience in Construction, Bidding, and Construction management.
• Experience in Commercial construction, Preconstruction, and Pricing.
• Proficiency in Cost estimate, Bluebeam, Construction estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project management, and Blueprint review.

• 7+ years of estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry.
• 5+ years of experience developing junior estimators.
• Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000.
• Ability to run the estimating team.

The role is based in an office located in Farmingdale, with approximately 20 people in the office. Standard working hours are from 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
