This position serves as the Maintenance and Repair Supervisor for the Alexandria Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (AVAHCS). The AVAHCS covers 150+/- acres and approximately 720,000 gross building square footage and has five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) locations, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Jennings, Fort Johnson, and Natchitoches, Louisiana. This position works under the direct supervision of the Chief of Engineering.To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/02/2025.
EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Work environment includes outside and inside; excessive heat, cold, humidity, dampness and or chilling, intermittent noise; dry atmospheric conditions; dust; fumes, smokes, gases; solvents (degreasing agents); grease and oils; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; working around machinery with moving parts; working around moving objects or vehicles; working on ladders or scaffolding; vibration; working closely with others; and working alone.This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
