Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform various types of painting projects. Other duties include general carpentry maintenance, wall construction, and sheetrock and plaster wall repair.
Essential Job Functions:
70% A. Performs all types of interior and exterior painting of academic, student dormitories, and office buildings.
15 % B. Performs repair and maintenance tasks to building furnishings and furniture, including refinishing building furniture, doors woodwork.
5 % C. Performs minor construction, including wall construction and sheetrock and plaster wall repair.
5 % D. Perform snow removal as assigned.
5 % E. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required: High School graduate or equivalent degree. Combination of training, education, and experience that relates directly to the painting trade.
Professional Experience:
Required: Five years of full-time experience painting the interior and exterior of commercial and residential facilities with at least 1 of those years spent refinishing furniture and furnishings.
Preferred: Seven years of full-time experience painting the interior and exterior of commercial and residential facilities with at least 3 of those years spent refinishing furniture and furnishings.
The starting salary for this position is $23.43 per hour.
