Mechanic

The Equix team isbuilt on pride in the workmanship and abilities of our crews. Our Core group ofin-house welders have extensive knowledge and background in pipeline andfabrication welding. We have a current opening for a Mechanic. At Equix, wesupport our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceedexpectations with all of our services, which include: Pipeline Construction, GasDistribution, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Facility Construction andFabrication, and Trenching services.

Responsibilities:

Perform annual DOT inspections on trucks and trailersTroubleshoot problems, discussing with equipment manager options for makingeconomical and durable repairsMaintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and equipment on a company widebasisServices vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids,changing filters and maintaining preventative maintenance schedulesTroubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel andgasoline engines, transmissions, drive trainsOrder parts and suppliesAdjust functional parts of devices, control instruments and all types ofequipmentRepair or replace defective partsTest equipment performance before and after repairsOperate and maintain field service truckOther duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 3 years' experienceCompletion of a Diesel Technician school program highly preferableCertifications highly preferable such as ASE, 608/609, etc.Must be able to provide own toolsMust be a Class 8 MechanicValid Driver License with clean recordAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug screeningAbility to lift up to 50lbs, bend, reach, stand, climb, kneel, and pushMust be able to perform the physical demands of the jobTravel throughout Central Florida Areas: Ocala, Avon Park, Tampa, Orlando,Etc.
