Site Superintendent ECC - East Port Orchard, WA
Location: Position is on-site at project location in Bremerton, WA. Local candidates in the Bremerton, WA area are encouraged to apply. This project will complete in approximately one year.
ECC is seeking candidates for a Site Superintendent position for a Dry dock seismic upgrade project. Ideal candidates will have experience in waterfront, pier, or dock construction. Familiarity with Navy projects, seismic upgrades, and design/build project delivery is considered highly desirable. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation of field related policies, programs, and practices that support and advance the Company's long-term business objectives. In this position you will:
Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization
Compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers
Assist and lead field sampling teams in achieving task requirements
Key implementers of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activities
Assist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager
Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operations
Assist in identifying task-specific equipment to achieve the objectives of a task. When appropriate, operate the equipment as needed during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operation
Assume the role of sample team lead to assist the quality control officer and health and safety officer in maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures, and sound field practices while achieving project objectives
Coordinate with the project chemist, project engineer, and project geologist to prioritize field activities and identify task assignments.
In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activities
Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements
Expected 15-20 years of relevant Superintendent construction experience
Travel: Must be able and willing to work on-site at project location
Five years supervisory experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with experience managing schedule and budget for large construction projects
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in waterfront, pier, or dock construction is a plus
Prior experience with Navy projects is a plus
Seismic upgrade experience is a plus
Experience with design/build projects is preferred
ECC targeted salary range for Bremerton, WA is $97,600 to $140,000 annually. Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
