Pay: $75,000 Plus

Job description:

As a construction company that has been in business over 20 years, we pride ourselves in employing bright, ambitious, and enthusiastic individuals to restore homes in the Metro Atlanta area.

We are seeking a full-time Estimator to join our repair division.

• Must have proficient knowledge of Xactimate Software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook also needed.
• Must have experience in either construction or construction-related estimating or property insurance adjusting.
• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent communication and judgement skills

Job Duties and Qualifications Include:

• Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information
• Evaluate proposals, specifications, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
• Work closely with the project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
• Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers
• Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets, give a clear explanation of timelines and set reasonable expectations for clients
• Constructing estimates in Xactimate
• Archiving pictures, estimates and revisions
• Give a clear explanation of timelines and set reasonable expectations for clients
• Work with support staff to communicate and negotiate with clients and insurance adjusters to come to agreements concerning scope and cost for the project
• Arrange meetings with adjusters and clients onsite for estimates
• Residential construction experience is necessary, commercial experience is a plus. Other requirements include interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, accuracy with calculations and time-management skills.
