Strategic Business Development Manager - Air Cargo

As our Strategic Business Development Manager - Air Cargo, you'll be at the forefront of driving revenue by filling unused capacity on TGE's Express air network and additional aircraft. This is a newly created role with a strong focus on new business acquisition, key account development, and strategic sales execution.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Develop and execute air cargo sales strategies aligned with TGE and TXL goals

  • Maximise aircraft space utilisation through agile pricing and filler product strategies

  • Lead charter sales across domestic and select international lanes

  • Build and manage a portfolio of high-volume customers including freight forwarders, direct shippers, and airline partners

  • Travel frequently across Australasia to meet clients, assess opportunities, and promote our network

  • Own the full business cycle-from lead generation to service delivery and payment

  • Collaborate closely with operations to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction

  • Monitor KPIs, track performance, and adjust strategies to meet revenue and capacity targets

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for someone with a hunter mentality, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

You'll need:

  • 3-8 years' experience in air freight, forwarding, or logistics sales

  • A solid understanding of air cargo services, freighter aircraft types, and market dynamics

  • Proven ability to create compelling rate offers and close deals under pressure.

  • Experience managing full sales cycles and building long-term client relationships

  • Willingness to travel and adapt schedules to meet urgent client needs (approx 20-25%)

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain (nice to have)
