Title: Facilities Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance or Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with vendors, managing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Frequently is required to stand; walk; climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Frequently required to climb a ladder and have the ability to work from heights.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts operating machinery and noise.
- Exposure to wet and humid conditions, heat, outside weather conditions, irritant chemicals.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technician(s) and custodial staff.
- Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain and adjust (as needed) preventive maintenance plans for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, conveyers, forklifts, etc.).
- Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (i.e. Carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Handle work requests and respond to emergencies on various systems.
- Maintain company vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain grounds, i.e. Mowing grass, weed whacking, spring and fall clean up.
- Snow plowing and sidewalk snow/ice removal.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and safety inspections.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized services and projects.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and inventory of supplies and equipment including detailed reports about maintenance and repairs completed and in process.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Testing equipment for performance and compliance with safety and quality procedures.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during and outside of regular business hours.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and safety.
- Train and develop maintenance staff; conduct performance evaluations.
- Performs janitorial duties as needed.
- Estimate and project maintenance operational and capital expense needs and expenses for all assigned locations, including supporting creating a budget for each calendar year to assist finance in planning
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Certification in Maintenance Engineering or relevant experience.
- Quality and Safety Training preferred.
- 3+ Years Experience with Manufacturing Equipment Changeovers and documentation of work performed.
- Valid Drivers license and clean driving record.
- Strong Organizational skills to ensure productive scheduling of tasks.
- Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines.
- Must be an advocate for safety and housekeeping, and mentor others on safety practices.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Some leadership experience preferred.
- Trade School preferred or equivalent experience in a variety of skills, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Experience with Conveyor Lines, Distribution Handling Equipment a plus.
