Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to lead day-to-day operations in our fabrication shop. The Foreman will supervise shop staff, oversee production schedules, ensure quality control, and coordinate with project managers and installation teams to deliver on-time, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise shop personnel, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
Oversee fabrication of metal and glass components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Manage workflow and production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Train and mentor staff in proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
Conduct quality checks at all stages of fabrication.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment; enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards.
Coordinate material orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and installers to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in metal and glass fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong technical knowledge of metalworking, glass handling, welding, and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
