The Carpenter performs general carpentry, millwork and commercial hardware functions to maintain or repair various building systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.
Understands shop drawings, basic sketches or building plans for information pertaining to various carpentry related repairs, furnishings or office modifications
Perform rough and finish carpentry to repair and maintain park structures utilizing safety practices, industry standards and best practices.
Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, gates, locks, latches, and access systems in buildings and park facilities.
Proficient in use and application of multiple building materials including lumber, tile, ceramic/vinyl tile, plastics, acoustical ceiling tile
Provide locksmith services specifically BEST System lock cylinders, including rekeying, key duplication, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting lock/access issues.
Repair of tables, chairs, platforms, kiosk and equipment enclosures and housings, fencing, and decking, restrooms, service buildings, and utility enclosures.
Cleans up work area daily and after job completion.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
Work on small construction and renovation projects.
Collaborate with park maintenance, electrical, and plumbing staff to ensure facilities are safe, secure and in top condition.

Must be able to safely operate the following stationary shop equipment: table saw, drill press, sander, pneumatic air nailers, high velocity power activated nail guns, hand saws, band saw, miter saw, radial arm saw, panel saw, electric drill, reciprocating saw
Must be able to perform various commercial hardware repairs and new installations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or Technical education preferred
5 years of progressive experience related to new construction, remodeling and or commercial building maintenance
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License
