Assistant Facility Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary Details:

Assist mechanics with electrical / plumbing / mechanical / HVAC troubleshooting, installations and repairs. The description above represents the most significant functions of this position but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess valid, unexpired driver's license
• High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of prior HVAC o mechanical technician experience is preferred
• One (1) year of prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

• equipment lubrication .
• air filter changes /Air handler maintenance
• record keeping / work request
• lighting / ballast replacement / electrical installations/ troubleshooting .
• plumbing / drain clearing ,flushometer repairs /faucet repairs
• air compressor maintenance , oil changes , exchanger cleaning.
• pumps , cleaning strainers ,
• exhaust systems, belt changes .
• cooling , coil cleaning, temperature adjustments .
• heating /coil cleaning /steam boiler repairs.
