Job Description:

Responsible for leading and managing civil engineering activities for assigned land development projects, from conceptualization to completion, working independently and without supervision. Lead project engineering design and create comprehensive civil development plans, design site plans, grading plans, ESPC plans, erosion, sediment and pollution control plans, utility systems, including watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer; direct teams of engineers and draftsmen/technicians in the development of detailed engineering design drawings; review and revise calculations, drawings, specifications, construction documents and other technical documents; conduct thorough hydrological assessments of project sites; ensure projects compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and regulatory standards, including local Georgia city and county municipality codes; prepare detailed reports analyzing pre-construction hydrologic conditions and evaluating post-construction impacts; maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to review and resolve project-related issues and ensure project success; conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor construction progress, gather design data and produce engineering specifications. Position duties require extensive utilization of specialized drawing tools and engineering software applications, including MicroStation, Inroads, OpenSite, Hydrology Studio Suite, HEC-RAS, and Hydraulic modelling using Storm CAD, and Bluebeam Revu.

Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, followed by minimum three years of experience in the position offered or three years of civil engineering experience creating site development plans for land development projects, including: developing detailed engineering designs, civil development plans, site plans, grading plans, ESPC plans, and erosion, sediment and pollution control plans; preparing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and construction documents; conducting site visits to perform hydrological assessments of project sites; analyzing pre-construction hydrologic conditions and evaluating post-construction impacts; evaluating shop drawings and completing condition reports that include cost and time estimates analysis; and ensuring projects compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and regulatory standards, including local Georgia city and county municipality codes. Required experience must include utilization of MicroStation, Inroads, OpenSite, Hydrology Studio Suite, HEC-RAS, and Hydraulic modelling using Storm CAD, and Bluebeam Revu. State of Georgia Professional Engineer license also is required.
