Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a seasoned Port Engineer to oversee marine construction projects and lead a multidisciplinary site team. This role requires a strong background in contract administration and hands-on experience with complex infrastructure projects in active operational environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a site-based team of engineers, inspectors, and support staff.
  • Design, Planning and Construction of Marine Port Infrastructure and Structures such as Quay Wall, Coastal Walls, Docks, Ports, Piers, berthings, etc
  • Administer construction contracts.
  • Oversee the execution of marine or cross-disciplinary infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractors on works involving repairs, piling, concrete structures, and fluctuating quantities.
  • Interpret technical specifications and provide guidance to site teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications to be successful in the role :

  • Licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in port , pier , or terminal construction projects is a must
  • Strong familiarity with construction processes, especially within the Philippine regulatory environment.
  • Effective communication skills—both written and oral.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and collaborative approach to managing challenges and working with diverse teams.
  • Must be willing to work and relocate in Cagayan De Oro
