Forklift Operator Job Description Join a family-owned metal recycling company where you will operate forklifts and equipment both inside and outside, with enclosed and heated cabs for comfort. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, assisting visitors with material placement, and preparing items for transport using a compactor. Responsibilities Unload trucks as they arrive at the facility. Assist visitors with directions for material placement. Move materials from drop-off locations to designated shelving using a forklift. Prepare materials for transport using a compactor. Interact with customers in the yard, ensuring smooth operations. Essential Skills 1+ year experience in forklift or equipment operation, with 80% of duties involving forklift use. Strong communication skills for customer interaction. Ability to lift 30lbs solo and team lift up to 50lbs. Solid work history with two jobs over five years. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in equipment operation.
