Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing associates in successful plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, production, and customer requirements are met. This role demands the ability to lead and motivate employees by understanding production, safety, quality, and customer needs and effectively communicating information to all members of the production team. You will assist with materials planning and logistics, review production data, and process data, supervising roughly 30 employees with support from the shift Plant Superintendent for escalation issues. Responsibilities Lead team meetings, communicating quality and production information alongside general information from other locations and departments. Coach and counsel crew members in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S, and quality to ensure understanding and compliance with company requirements. Ensure that all production, safety, quality, and information is clearly communicated to all team members. Actively participate in accident/injury investigations, including near misses, and resolve any deficiencies, including engineering controls and employee education. Perform audits in areas of safety, training, and quality to support company needs, and develop countermeasures when necessary. Essential Skills Leadership in production supervision and manufacturing. Strong communication skills. A high school diploma or GED. At least 2 years of production supervision or equivalent leadership experience. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment, preferably automotive. Proven experience leading teams to meet production, quality, and safety goals. Proficiency with Excel. Work Environment The facility can be get hot with temperatures reaching up to 110 degrees during summer. It is extremely clean, with minimal dirt. The environment is deadline-driven, with goals crucial to success. The shift is 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM on 2-2-3 schedule. Employees work roughly 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, with every other weekend spent working Friday through Sunday. PPE, including steel toes and eye protection, is mandatory. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
