Electrical Engineer II

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Electrical Engineer for a contract position in Maple Grove, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: Responsible for working with electrical ME equipment, capital equipment, electrical circuit boards, and sustaining/testing while working on various products within Interventional Oncology.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, debug, modify, and test electrical circuits and systems using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
  • Solve engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
  • Investigate, research, and select electronic circuits, components, tools, and equipment using best practices.
  • Document electrical development by writing procedures, reports, memos, and change requests.
  • Track electrical development efforts by creating and maintaining records in Jira and other approved tracking management tools.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates to facilitate crisp decision-making.
  • Develop improvements to products or processes resulting in expansion of the Intellectual Property portfolio in key strategic areas.
  • Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
  • Train and/or provide work direction to technicians.
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all documented quality processes and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience utilizing EMI/EMC best practices for board-level circuit design using Altium and/or similar packages
  • Solid lab experience with debugging, fixtures, and test equipment
  • Expertise in circuit design analysis techniques and simulation tools such as LTSpice

Preferred:
  • Ability to solve complex problems with root cause analysis, including designing and executing experimental plans and using statistical methodologies to drive data-based decisions
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently to plan, schedule, and execute activities necessary to meet project timelines
