NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Natural ResourcesConservation Services (NRCS). These are experienced professionals who providetechnical and professional assistance to the Department of Agriculture for theAgriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Civil Engineering OR HS/GED Degree

Experience required with Windows, ARCVIEW (GIS)Protracts, Conservation DesktopDuties:

Assist Field Offices in Area 4 with conservation practice surveying andcheckouts

Work closely and support the technical staff with engineering practicelayouts. 50%Checkout EQIP practices as assigned by the DC. 50%

Other:Training will be provided by Area EngineerOn the Job TrainingTravel Requirements: Site Visits across Area 4 Delta Area completing fieldwork using government vehicles.Health and Safety Considerations: Training will be provided by Area Engineerto inform enrollee of stay hydrated drinking water during the summer month andwear protective gear such as snake boots, insect repellant and sunscreen.Physical requirements: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of thisposition.
