Professional Landscape Architect II

Position Description:

Professional Landscape Architect II for WSB LLC, Melissa, TX.

The position will include design and project management for a variety of interesting projects and clients. The individual will work collaboratively with external clients, internal team members, public groups, and other design professionals throughout the design process and effectively communicate via written, verbal, and graphic means. The ability and initiative to develop creative and aesthetic design solutions and proficiency in developing construction documents with AutoCad, Civil 3D, and LandFX. Experienced in development and management of projects efficiently and profitably. Meet billable utilization goals and effectively manage scope/ budget/ schedule of tasks and projects within the parameters of each contract. Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills which enable effective and professional interaction with clients, employees, municipalities, and the public. Ability to write project narratives, prepare development applications, prepare submittal documents, and response letters. Ability to research municipal code, zoning and development standards, review processes, regulations, design standards, and more. Work on several projects and project teams simultaneously. Have ability to effectively lead presentations at public meetings and hearings. In-office work environment with flexibility to work remote.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture combined with an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related design or construction field plus 5 years of progressive post-degree experience as a landscape architect or occupation in landscape architecture. Must possess: Professional Landscape Architect license; LEED AP Certification, or certification with another applicable sustainability program; and A valid driver's license.

Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: Working in a professional design firm; AutoCad, Civil 3D, and LandFX; Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign, Rhino, Lumion, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite; Hand drawn sketches & design illustrations; Design process; Construction administration; Effective and professional communication (written and graphic); Demonstrated experience with presenting ideas and communicating with clients and public groups (examples may include presenting at park board meetings, user group meetings, council meetings, or other); Working independently on projects managing scope/budget/schedule of tasks; Site design and project delivery leading hardscape and softscape projects, including commercial amenity decks / green roofs, parks, greenways, mixed use developments; Developing project specifications and technical details; Landscape architecture projects for large-scale municipalities, governmental agencies, or large private/commercial clients.
