A&P Mechanic Job Description We are seeking an A&P Mechanic to install Bell, AA, and other aftermarket kits on new aircraft, including air conditioners, sliding doors, rescue hoists, and FAST rope systems. The role involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines, including the removal and replacement of engine and major airframe components. Responsibilities also include sheet metal repairs and the fabrication of sheet metal and composite parts, aircraft disassembly and reassembly, post-maintenance flight test duties, and major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structures, including sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications. You will also be required to fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations. Responsibilities Install Bell, AA, and other aftermarket kits on new aircraft. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframe and engine. Remove and replace engine and major airframe components. Conduct sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts. Disassemble and reassemble aircraft. Perform post maintenance flight test duties. Execute major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structures. Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations. Skills & Qualifications Experience with Bell 407, 412, and 429 aircraft A&P license 4 years of rotary experience Work Environment The work environment is in a hangar at a customization and completion center. Employees can wear jeans, work pants, and during the summer, decent shorts as uniform shorts are provided. Closed-toe shoes are required, but steel-toed shoes are not necessary. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PINEY FLATS, Tennessee Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
