Wire VariableFrequency Drive's Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and otherspecifications to determine installation procedures Performinstrumentation calculation, set up of parameters and limits Modifyindustrial electronic devices, circuits, and equipment in order tomeet available specifications Set up and test industrial equipmentto ensure that it functions properly Perform scheduled preventivemaintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairingequipment, to detect and prevent problems before they occur Inspectcomponents of industrial equipment for accurate assembly andinstallation and for defects such as loose connections and frayedwires Advise management on whether continued operation of equipmentcould be hazardous Maintain equipment logs that record performanceproblems, repairs, calibrations, and tests Examine work orders andconverse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems andto ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to theproblems Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyzemalfunctions Repair, install and adjust equipment, machines, anddefective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets andseals in watertight electrical equipment Install coaxial or fiberoptic cable for computers and other telecommunications equipmentMaintain inventory of spare parts. Send defective units to themanufacturer or to a specialized repair shop for repair Whenbreakdowns occur, make necessary repairs as quickly as possible inorder to minimize inconvenience Test faulty equipment to diagnosemalfunctions, using test equipment and software, and applyingknowledge of the functional operation of electronic units andsystems Work extended shifts to support the facility which mayrequire coming in early, before normal shift and staying over laterthan normal shift Short notice may be given when coming in early orstaying over late. May be called in to make repairs on nights,weekends or holidays Be flexible and adapt to changing prioritiesMust follow the National Electric Code; comply with state andCargill standards Assist plant with management of outsidecontracted electrical projects for quality to comply with Cargillspecifications Participates in ongoing skill level improvementtraining and apply what is learned Performs all requested tasksprofessionally and in a reasonable time frame Is flexible and ableto adapt to changing priorities Work indoors and outdoors in aplant environment Enter confined spaces under proper permitconditions and supervision Troubleshoot problems as requiredMaintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere Inspect buildings, grounds,and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and longrange needs for maintenance and repair work Enter notificationsutilizing maintenance computer program Understand and adhere tostate and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules andregulations as related to plant safety Follow all Cargill safetyrules and regulations, including use of proper PPE Complete allhousekeeping assignments, work to improve the condition of thedepartment, and work as a team member with a positive attitudeAttend various mandatory safety and department meetings Communicatein a courteous and positive manner to accomplish dutieseffectively, working as a team with all involved Assist other plantpersonnel as needed and will perform any other duty as requested bythe supervisor Required Qualifications Must be eligible to work inthe united states without visa sponsorship Must be 18 years orolder Must be able to perform physical job duties includingbending/stooping, climbing ladders, and work in confined spacesAbility to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Must be able to work underspecial work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold Ability towork in elevated areas Must be able to operate machinery Must beable to read/write English High School diploma or Equivalent Basiccomputer skills including being able to enter and retrieve dataAbility to work overtime Ability to work holidays, nights, weekendsor different shifts Must be able to perform electrical maintenancetrade Experience working with blueprints, schematics, manuals, andother specifications and the mathematical knowledge required forsuch work Must be able to operate mobile equipment Must have a highdegree of mechanical aptitude Demonstrated ability to perform basicmathematical functions including addition, subtraction,multiplication, division and percentages Must be willing and ableto work in inclement conditions and extreme temperatures Must beable to work in an outdoor, and indoor plant environment Must havevery good time management skills with ability to prioritize tasksand work independently Install conduit and pull wire Have a strongcommitment to safety Must have adequate transportation Craftspeoplein this position will use multiple tools such as multi-meter;500-to-1000-volt meg-ohm tester; voltmeter; ohmmeter; mobileequipment; safety equipment and PPE Preferred QualificationsExperience with wiring and programing Allen Bradley ProgrammableLogic Controllers Experience using electrical test equipment toperform analysis and troubleshooting Knowledge of the NationalElectric Code Mechanical aptitude to work from all types ofblueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings Apprentice,Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska orequivalent A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system,or equivalent Please note that this position does not includerelocation reimbursement.
