Anticipated Starting Salary: $98,100/year - $139,700/year DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, etc.) This position will remain posted until it is filled.

Senior Project Engineer - Colorado

The Senior Project Engineer will work closely with project team members to manage and execute a variety of complex projects. This individual will be responsible for planning, design, coordination, and execution of projects as well as project and client management.

Responsibilities

Provide professional services for civil engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors

Provide professional services for the design and construction of complex water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities

Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects

Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply and distribution systems, and water treatment plants.

Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work

Assist Project Manager in maintaining budgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication

Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members

Gather critical data to assist clients with project financing and funding development

Qualifications

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months

15+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering, with a strong interest in the water market sector

Technical proficiency in water treatment technology, reuse assessment and management, modeling, and/or design of water treatment plants, pipelines, and pump stations

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development

Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members

Knowledge of design standards and permitting

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering

20+ years of experience in municipal water engineering (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources)

Project management experience

Knowledge of project financials & funding programs

Physical Qualifications

Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist

Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight

May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds

Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear

May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload

May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
