Minimum Requirements
High school diploma/GED.
5 years of experience with contracted facilities maintenance, including small facilities projects and preventive maintenance.
Demonstrated knowledge of facilities maintenance.
Computer literacy (experience with spreadsheets, word processing, database, presentation, and tracking and scheduling applications).
Ability to follow directions and complete daily tasks and specific work.
Ability to organize and carry out multiple tasks within time and resource constraints.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Possess a valid driver's license, without court ordered restrictions.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in business administration or a related field.
Experience in the use of computerized maintenance management (work order) systems.
General knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
Working knowledge in the use of computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software.
K-12 construction, maintenance, or public industry-specific experience or knowledge.
Role Responsibilities
Assist with coordinating and monitoring contracted maintenance work, preventive maintenance, and third-party inspection schedules.
Assist with scheduling work performed by independent contractors.
Coordinate contract initiatives with appropriate Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) staff, departments, and other agencies as required, assuring that work meets WCPS requirements.
Assist in the development of requests for quotes, requests for proposals, and bid documents to be issued to vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Secure required project and plan approvals from authorities, such as permitting agencies.
Oversee: scheduling, quality control, review of shop drawings, Use and Occupancy certificates, punch lists, closeout, and management of claims.
Responsible for tracking budgets for contracted work and ensuring the assigned work is completed on time and within budget.
Support the Facilities Department team by producing data used in the preparation of the annual Comprehensive Maintenance Plan, Educational Facilities Master Plan, and Capital Improvement Program Plan, as well as other capital and operating budgets.
Verify contractor payments, change orders
Enforce WCPS policies and regulations and manage documentation to provide current and accurate information.
Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public Schools.
Perform other duties as directed by the Manager of Facilities Maintenance.
Environmental Factors and PHysical/Mental Requirements
The Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental demands represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Required periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to sufficiently and efficiently move throughout the building and grounds for extended periods.

Will be subjected to loud noises, dusts, fumes, and hot and cold outdoor temperatures.
