Structural Project Engineer Building Design | St. Louis, MO
IMEG is seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer to join our growing St. Louis, Missouri office. As a key member of our structural team, youll lead the design and analysis of building systemsincluding gravity and lateral framing, foundation sizing, and BIM modelingon a variety of commercial and infrastructure projects. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilize advanced tools like Revit and Tekla, and ensure project accuracy, code compliance, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for building projects using engineering judgment, software, and hand calculations
- Prepare project specifications and ensure all designs meet applicable codes and standards
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and technology disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Oversee BIM instructions and maintain project design notebooks and permanent records
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks
- Identify and resolve project challenges in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Mentor and support designers and modelers throughout project delivery
- Conduct site observations and provide contract-required services
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters in Structural Engineering preferred)
- Structural Engineering license
- Minimum of four years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Proficiency with Revit, Tekla, and Microsoft Office; experience with BIM workflows
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and technical design principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
