Staff Engineer - Site Design
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Engineer to join our growing Site Design team in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to support the design and delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, and utilities.
- Develop detailed plans using Civil 3D and other design software.
- Collaborate with team members to produce project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to collect data and assess project needs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support the PE in engineering tasks, project coordination, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D or a strong willingness to learn.
- Solid understanding of grading and utility design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow in a professional engineering environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $38.46/hr.
