Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting both new product development and sustaining efforts. This position involves making mechanical hardware changes and creating detailed 3D models. Approximately 60% of the engineer's time will be dedicated to new product development work versus sustaining activities. The role requires proficiency in SolidWorks for designing, managing change orders, and testing designs.

Responsibilities

  • Support new product development and sustaining efforts.
  • Implement mechanical hardware changes and create 3D models.
  • Design using SolidWorks and manage change orders.
  • Test designs to ensure quality and functionality.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with mechanical design.
  • 3+ years of experience with SolidWorks design.
  • 3+ years of experience with GD&T and testing designs.
  • 3+ years of experience working within a PDM (Agile).
  • 3+ years of experience with FEA.
  • 3+ years of experience with new product development from concept to completion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in sheet metal design.
Work Environment

The work environment involves supporting a large new platform R&D project, focusing on creating new drawings and parts for a new generation platform. The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain additional experience in the medical device field and work on an innovative R&D project supporting new product development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.01 - $43.27/hr.
