Applies finishes to the interior and exterior of residential and commercial buildings.
Duties:
* Provide reliable transportation everyday
* Prepares work to be processed by reviewing work requests; resolving questions; prioritizing projects.
* Prepares surfaces by scraping and sanding; using commercial paint removers; filling cracks and holes; applying primers and wood conditioners.
* Meets equipment material requirements by determining that all necessary materials are at the jobsite.
* Determines that desired colors have been properly mixed by the paint provider.
* Maintains safe work procedures by erecting scaffolds, ladders, and safety barriers according to prescribed protocols.
* Protects Building, furniture, and floors by placing drop cloths, paper, tape and plastic.
* Completes projects by using brushes, rollers and sprayers according to requirements.
* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
* Enhances facilities and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications:
