Commercial Journeyman Electrician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and blueprints, and will be capable of working independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. Supervise and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician License (Iowa). Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial electrical work. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
