Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource management, and oversee the entire lifecycle of HVAC projects.
- Lead and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors, offering guidance, support, and training to promote safety and performance.
- Foster strong client relationships by addressing their needs and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and service.
- Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare financial reports and present updates to management.
- Ensure all projects adhere to applicable local, state, and federal regulations, staying informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and resolve any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications.
- Organize and lead team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including permits and compliance reports.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems as needed.
- Uphold strict safety standards and protocols across all job sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing HVAC projects in residential and commercial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ductwork.
- Proven success in managing projects from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline, and CAD.
- Valid HVAC certification and relevant licensing.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, take-offs, buyouts, and electrical work.
- PMP Certification.
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background as a Project Manager in Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing projects.
- Experience with new construction or retrofit projects.
- Familiarity with HVAC sheet metal fabrication and estimation processes.
