JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Engineer I will support a range of projects that focus on providing insights and solutions that optimize enterprise performance. Assist in planning, conducting, monitoring, and reporting projects including but not limited to workload analyses, time studies, data analytics, and documentation while learning to apply a wide range of IE techniques to evaluate systems and processes in a variety of operational and support areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Support workload and staffing analyses, time studies, and process documentation. Help develop flowcharts, process maps, and procedure documentation. Assist in data collection, data mining, and basic data analytics. Assist in benchmarking internal practices and gathering external industry data. Support the creation of performance metrics, KPIs, and management dashboards. Collaborate in large-scale project teams and contribute to project execution. Participate in economic and cost-benefit analyses under supervision. Contribute to inventory control assessments and process improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Performance Engineer 1 role, you must:
- Have a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Have knowledge of and ability to apply entry-level principles of engineering.
- Familiarity with IE tools such as Excel, Visio, or Power BI is preferred.
- Have an occupationally significant combination of job knowledge; oral/written communication skills; mathematical ability; customer relations skills; resourcefulness; integrity; analytical and problem-solving abilities; skills in teamwork and promoting safety in the workplace; organizational ability; ability to work with a diverse population; ability to apply engineering principles and methods to utility design; spatial and form perception; and attention to detail.
- Have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
