Industrial Electrician Automation Full-Time Shelby Township, MI

Cardinal Staffing is currently hiring experienced Electricians for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading automation and machine build company located in Shelby Township, MI.
Position Summary: This role involves the installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for custom automation equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience reading electrical schematics, wiring industrial machinery, and supporting startup/debug of control systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install and wire electrical panels, sensors, motors, and field devices
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Troubleshoot electrical and PLC-related issues during equipment build and startup
• Support testing, startup, and debug alongside engineering and mechanical teams
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards (OSHA, MIOSHA)
• Document work, recommend improvements, and support engineering change requests
• Occasional travel to customer sites for install/startup support

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in industrial or automation electrical work
• Strong understanding of control systems, low-voltage wiring, and relay logic
• Experience with PLCs (basic troubleshooting or wiring support)
• Ability to read schematics and interpret technical documentation
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience in ISO or quality-controlled environments preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work full-time hours

Schedule:

• MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
• Occasional Saturdays (catch-up shifts as needed)
• Approx. 50 hours/week typical
