Little Island seeks a Facilities Supervisor to join the Park Operations department. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining Little Islands high standards of responsive and efficient maintenance across all park areas. This includes overseeing maintenance programs for performance spaces, restrooms, artist support areas, food & beverage, and general park facilities, balancing multiple projects and ensuring tasks are completed safely and on schedule.
The Facilities Supervisor will manage a team of maintenance staff in the execution of a range of physical tasks, from routine inspections to hands-on repairs, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. They will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain park equipment, furniture, and infrastructure. When needed, the Facilities Supervisor is on call to respond to emergencies during nights and weekends, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely and safe manner.
We are looking for folks who have:
4 years of hands-on, field-based facilities/maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience leading teams, with a strong desire to teach, train, and develop staff.
Certifications in relevant trades: electrical systems experience strongly preferred; HVAC, plumbing or mechanical systems experience are a plus.
Strong knowledge of construction, building systems, and maintenance best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to safety.
