Plumbing Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, installing and maintaining plumbing systems, and ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures.
+ Install and maintain water heaters, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and other plumbing systems.
+ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
+ Interpret blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures.
+ Communicate clearly with homeowners about issues, solutions, and pricing.
+ Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
+ Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
+ Provide emergency plumbing services as needed (on-call rotation may apply).
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of experience in plumbing.
+ Experience with soldering.
+ Ability to use an impact driver and basic hand tools.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Mechanical aptitude and plumbing skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge in HVAC, electrical, troubleshooting, repair, gauge, soldering, pro-press, plumbing, construction installation, skilled trades, blueprint, mechanical aptitude.
+ 1+ year plumber helper experience OR mechanical/construction aptitude.
+ Comfortable bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs as needed with team member.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 2+ years of residential plumbing experience preferred.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.
+ Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

**Work Environment**
Work in a team-oriented and busy environment, with shifts from Monday to Friday, approximately 7 AM to 5 PM. Expect 60+ hours/week due to new projects, with on-call shifts every 6 weeks, which are compensated. Collaborate with a journeyman, starting at job sites or the shop. Dress in jeans, work boots, and company-provided t-shirts. Must have basic hand tools and the ability to purchase power tools as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
