THE ROLE: We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Field Construction Welder to join our team, specializing in the construction and installation of wastewater treatment equipment. This role involves working with a variety of raw materials to fabricate, fit up, and weld components, ultimately constructing and installing complex wastewater systems on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in various welding techniques, and a comprehensive understanding of construction principles as applied to industrial equipment. This position requires hands-on experience in fitting and fabrication, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in diverse field environments. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, welding from blueprints outdoors in various environments A36 and 304LSS Interprets engineered drawings - Follows red-line process, recommends modifications and improvements when applicable using weld symbols and dimensions Troubleshoots and repair machine and equipment failures Performs Senior Field Construction Tech responsibilities Understands established quality standards Performs basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities. Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner Submitting expense reports for per diem through Concur System weekly QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED certificate 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW-P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding from blueprints. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
