Journeyman Electrician I

McCarthy Building is hiring Journeymen Electricians to help with the construction of a Water facility located in BAYTOWN, TX . PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Panel/LV work

• Install metering equipment

• Layout, bend, thread and install conduit

• Layout and install switchgear, switchboards and electrical devices

• Trench with shovel and install PVC raceway

• Pull wire through conduit

• Install electrical enclosures

• Supervise the work of apprentices

• Unload and stage material

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
• Electrical Journeyman License Required

• Minimum 4 years experience
• Be able to read blueprints
• Be able to read and understand P&IDs

• Water/Waste Water experience preferred

• General knowledge of construction principles/processes required

• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects

• Must have a tape measure, level, Screwdrivers, Lineman pliers and Wire strippers.
• Experience bending Rigid Conduit with a side winder/Chicago bender.

• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule

• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

• Age 18+

• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
