Engineering Technician

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about building and testing innovative products? Join our team as an Engineering Technician and work alongside our Process and Product Design Engineers to support the design, fabrication, and testing of new and existing products.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare materials and operate manufacturing equipment
  
  
• Assist in fabricating prototypes and setting up production lines
  
  
• Perform experimental test programs and document processes
  
  
• Create and ship customer samples and prototypes
  
  
• Assemble fixtures and templates from engineering drawings
  
  
• Mold parts and verify final product quality
  
  
• Recommend improvements for production safety and efficiency
  
  
• Operate tools including bandsaws, waterjet, slitter, laminator, and more
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED
  
  
• Experience with production machinery and fabrication tools
  
  
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, and perform basic math
  
  
• strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills
  
  
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  
  

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around machinery and airborne particles.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepares materials for engineering use by operating various manufacturing equipment.
  
  
• Assists with the fabrication of prototype products and equipment using both production and custom-built machinery.
  
  
• Documents processes and completes all required paperwork.
  
  
• Participates in experimental test programs.
  
  
• Prepares customer- or engineer-requested samples.
  
  
• Maintains and tracks sample inventory.
  
  
• Creates labels, prepares packing lists, packages, and ships samples and prototypes.
  
  
• Interprets engineering drawings and sketches to fabricate and assemble fixtures and templates used in production.
  
  
• Provides design feedback to engineers regarding prototypes, fixtures, and templates.
  
  
• Molds sample parts as needed.
  
  
• Verifies that finished samples, prototypes, fixtures, and templates meet specifications.
  
  
• Supports the organization and upkeep of the engineering shop.
  
  
• Assists with production line setup.
  
  
• Recommends improvements to increase efficiency and enhance safety within production processes.
  
  
• Operates equipment including, but not limited to: bandsaws, B-30, waterjet (manual and automatic), slitter, laminators, table saw, wire saws (manual and powered), and various hand tools.
  
  
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable quality system procedures and standardized work instructions.
