Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Design: Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, circuitry, and instrumentation.
- CAD Drafting: Create 2D/3D schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completiondefine scope, allocate resources, schedule tasks, and manage budgets.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review designs for compliance with standards and best practices.
- Product Development: Contribute to the design, prototyping, and testing of new electrical components and systems.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify technical risks and propose solutions to ensure safety and reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry codes and regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with mechanical, software, and assembly teams to integrate systems and resolve technical challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements in design tools, workflows, and methodologies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, specifications, test plans, and project milestones.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related field
- 23 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Inventor
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and U.S. electrical codes
- Experience in OEM environments
- Exposure to electromechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
