Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator/Installer
Location: Boutte, LA
Salary Range: $20-$28hr DOE

Description:
We have a client who is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator and Installer. The position is located in Boutte, LA. You must be available to work other locations. This is a full time temp to hire position from 7:30am to 4:00pm M-F.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sheet Metal Fabricator Installer will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, fabricating metal components or structures, and performing quality checks on finished products. Installer will also plan, layout, repair and install sheet metal duct fittings and duct that are required, as well as set indoor and outdoor commercial units.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints.
Mark cutting and bending lines.
Fabricate band construct metal components.
Perform quality checks on completed products.
Follow all safety regulations.
Measure meticulously and plan well to reduce waste.
Set up metalwork machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
Grind and finish completed products.
Consults blueprints to safely construct specified structures; develops additional sketches if needed.
May do layout of fittings and duct, including manually locating and marking dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal, duct board, flex and duct pipe.
Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, wiring and piping as directed.
May install assemblies on site according to blueprint specifications using hand tools and portable power tools.
Inspects assemblies and installation work for conformance with plans, specifications and trade standards using naked eye as well as measuring tape.
Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
May receive equipment/materials on site.
Working conditions are normal for a construction environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Work experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role.
Demonstrate excellent eye-hand coordination.
Ability to work for long periods of time if required.
Hardworking and detail-oriented individual.
Ability to use a variety of tools and duct materials.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS As required.
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION
