Company Overview: We are a civil contractor specializing in the construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water management systems, and public utilities. Our team is dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative solutions that improve the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Field Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Job Summary: As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of our construction projects, from initial site survey and planning to execution and completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of project plans, specifications, and cost estimatesPerform site surveys, soil testing, and other field investigationsMonitor and report on project progress and quality, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standardsCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholdersParticipate in project meetings, providing updates and recommendations as neededReview and approve material submittals and shop drawingsAssist in the resolution of technical issues, change orders, and claimsContinuously update and maintain project documentation, including as-built drawings and records.
Qualifications:
College classes in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of experience in civil construction, preferably with a focus on infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniquesProficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management softwareExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationOSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is a plus
