Position Mission: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leadership and managing the performance, operations and accountability for the Maintenance team in their assigned territory.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the maintenance team in their assigned territory
  • Oversee the repairs, installations and upkeep of restaurants in their assigned territory
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
  • Track budgets and expenses and performing inspections on different facilities to find problems and make repairs
  • Train and supervise the Maintenance Technicians in their assigned territory
  • Develop operating strategies and performance goals and objectives for the team
  • Manage daily service call workflow through the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
  • Monitor and evaluate in-house and service provider proposals and invoices
  • Prepare and effectively manage department budget
  • Leads the following specialized maintenance needs such as pest control, back of house kitchen equipment, temperature, landscaping, and other necessities
  • Ensures standards of quality, teamwork and customer services across departmental lines
  • Respond to urgent facilities needs as needed
  • Ensure equipment is logged, cataloged and monitored for life span
  • Perform the duties of a Maintenance Technician as needed
  • Meets deadlines consistently
  • Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Facilities/Maintenance.
  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing cross-functional areas and departments.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintaining interpersonal professional working relationships at all levels (executive, managers and line employees).
  • Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Management of budgets and achievement of other measurable performance goals and objectives.
  • Effective utilization of people, property and technical resources.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to recognize and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively manage people, processes and procedures. Adherence to deadlines in an interruptive environment.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
  • Requires a 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Verbal and written English Skills, Spanish-speaking a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Experience managing complex event logistics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, unpredictable and ambiguous environment
  • Works well under pressure and tight timelines
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Travel:

Travel potentially up to 40%;

Physical Demands:

May include excessive walking, standing and moderate to occasional heavy lifting and use of ladders. Travel may be required at some periods in the event of new construction and remodeling of new restaurants. Travel may include overnight stays for periods of time. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.
