Position Summary:

This position will provide maintenance work for a recycling facility which requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting repairs and/or modifications. This will be a second shift position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to include conveyors, diverters, compressors, balers, eddy currents, belts, optical sorters, compactors, motors, wire tie systems, pumps, forklifts and building equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions
• Completes all required daily reporting as required
• Advises Maintenance Manager of any equipment, parts, and supplies inventory needs by checking stock to determine inventory level
• Performs service calls for emergency repairs
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience and Competencies:

• 1 year of experience of MRF maintenance experience
• 3 years of experience in a repair or production environment
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals)
• Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
